Spring Break

For spring break Jared and I went to Michigan for a few days to check out his new school and to find an apartment. It was fun to get away and have a break from the normal everyday life, but at the same time scary because looking for an apartment means we are getting closer to the big moving day! :-( But I am going to try really hard to be excited for this big adventure in our life and not be scared (ya right)!

Jared had a lot of fun checking out his new school and walking around the huge campus! It's such a beautiful school I don't think I've ever seen soO many trees.
And while we were there we did find an apartment YAY! One less thing to worry about.
We also got to visit with Steve and Jenni, it was so nice to see two familiar faces! Thanks for hanging out with us!

On our last day we went to the Henry Ford Museum. It was actually a lot more fun and interesting then I thought it would be. I was actually sad when we had to leave because there was still so much more to see.
This was President Ronald Reagan's Limo. They had a few different cars from past President's there.

Jared with some car?

And this is the bus that the famous Rosa Parks was riding when she was arrested for not giving up her seat.
And here is Jared sitting in the actual seat she wouldn't give up. Isn't that soO cool?!

Over all Jared and I had a great spring break!!!

Olivia's Dress

I Just want to take a moment and say that I am so proud of myself for sewing this dress almost all by myself and FINISHING IT! Because I always start crafts and never finish them.
I made this little dress for Olivia with the help of my mom, I did pretty much all of the cutting and sewing by myself and my mom helped me put it all together.
If you look really close you can see the little brown polka dots on the baby blue fabric. Me, Olivia and my mom (my mom wasn't very excited to take this picture, because she didn't have any make-up on but she was a good sport for me).

Okay, so I think I have come to the conclusion that I am the WORST blogger ever! I do a horrible job at keeping my blog up to date and I don't know why I guess I'm just a lazy blogger, because I'm always taking pictures and planing on posting them and never do. People probably get sick of looking at our blog and never seeing updates. Oh well, I'll try to do better, maybe when I'm in Michigan and am bored to pieces because we don't have family and friends (except for Steve and Jenni, but that's still two hours away) around I'll be better at posting regularly.

But anyways here are a few pictures of Olivia, she's getting so big and is soO much fun and doing new things everyday!

Olivia is always wanting to help make dinner. Now if I could only teach her how to wash dishes. Any suggestions on how I should teach her? :)

The other day Olivia's Granny Hiatt had a Swanki Hat party that was so much fun and Olivia decided that this was her favorite hat.

I thought this picture was just too funny! I guess she was feeling a little full. And don't you love her crazy hair?!

New Missionary

My little brother Chris went into the M.T.C. yesterday afternoon, where in two months he will be leaving from to Chihuahua Mexico! Our family is soO excited for him and know that it will be a great experience for him.

We tried to explain to Olivia that Uncle Chris was leaving for two years to go on a mission to teach people about Jesus, but I don't think she had any idea what was going on. All though she was very concerned about all the families that she saw crying and kept say "Crying aww sad :( what happened?"
Taking a few last pictures of Chris before he goes into the M.T.C.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Here's a little update on the busy but very fun month we just had.

This is the snow man that Olivia and I made together. Olivia loves to play in the snow! Every time she looks out the window and see's that it's snowing she lets me know and want to go outside and play in it.

Olivia's Grandma Hiatt bought her this way cute snow outfit!

What a silly girl!

One of my favorite things to do around the holiday season is going to Temple Square to see the lights.
It was fun showing Olivia the temple and all the little nativity sets they had every where. This was Olivia's little Christmas dress, she was soO cute with her little curls.

For Christmas we spent Christmas Eve day and night at Jared's parents home. We had tons of fun hanging out with the fam. On Christmas day we hung out with my family and went visiting. We had a great Christmas and hope that everyone had a safe and Merry Christmas!
A few days after Christmas we celebrated Jared' birthday. We hung out as a family and then went out and had dinner with Jared's friends. Happy Birthday Jare! And then last but not least Jared and I had our 4th anniversary!
Time goes by so fast. I can't believe that Jared and I have been married for four years already. These past four years have been some of the best years of my life. We have had so much fun and have grown and learned so much together. I know that the next four years will be just as great if not better!

A Few Random Pictures

Here are some random pictures of my little Olivia.
The other day she was holding and bouncing my old American Girl Doll saying "SHH SHH, it's Okay baby!" It was so funny and cute I guess she's been watching me with little baby Josh.

I'm sure most kids accomplish this way before the age of two, but since Olivia is the size of a twelve month old this door opening skill is very new to Jared and me. I love watching her accomplish new things, but I kind of liked being able to shut her out of certain rooms. she also has learned that if she pushes this little purple chair that she has into the kitchen she can reach the counter tops (cute, but dangerous).

What funny little curlers! I forgot to take a picture after I took them out next time I'll have to remember to take an after picture.
She's such a trooper, she's usually always so good at letting me do her hair.

Christmas Gingerbread Houses

The other night for family home evening our little family made home made gingerbread houses with my family. My dad made the dough the night before and I helped him cut out all the house pieces.
Here's most of the family working hard on their houses. My little brother Chris with his gingerbread house.
My little sister with Olivia showing off her house.
And my little brother Matt with his very sad looking gingerbread house. As you can see his talents are not in the gingerbread house building business. :)
Jared showing off his lovely catholic church (at least that's what he said) don't ask?
And last but not least Olivia and me! So as you can see Jared and I definitely should never go into the construction company :)
Today Olivia's granny Hiatt took her see Santa! I was told that she was really good and didn't mind sitting on Santa's lap at all, that totally surprised me, but I guess she really enjoyed it, what a CUTIE, she brings so much joy and happiness into our family and says the funniest things!

Never Mind

I know I'm a little late at posting this so I'm sure most of you know this already, but we just wanted to let everyone know that Jared is not going to Touro Nevada for medical school anymore. He was also accepted to Michigan State University and has decided it is where he wants to go to school instead.

TRICK-OR-TREAT!

I know I'm a little behind with my Halloween posting but better late then never, right?
This Halloween was much better then last year because Olivia got to go trick-or-treating for the very first time! Her daddy only took her to a few houses but it was still fun. And we got to hang out with my parents for a little while.

Olivia painting her little "punkin" with her uncle's help at my parents house.

This is Jared's pumpkin that he carved like the good sport that he is.

And this was my pumpkin it's Lucifer the cat from Cinderella. This is our family before our ward party.
And here is our fifty's Girl on her way to go trick-or-treating! she was so cute and had so much fun. We practiced saying trick-or-treat with her, but when she was put on the spot she refused to say it. :(
